Dave's does one thing: Nashville-style hot chicken, as tenders on plain white bread or as sliders with pickles, house kale slaw and the chipotle-mayo Dave's Sauce. The spice ladder has seven separate rungs, from no spice to Reaper, and the top rung comes with a waiver attached. Sides are french fries, cheese fries, macaroni cheese and kale slaw. All chicken is halal. Four childhood friends started the business in 2017 with nine hundred dollars in an East Hollywood parking lot. Weekend service keeps going until one in the morning.
