Dock and dine on Thomas Drive: arrive by boat, walk in, or spend the afternoon at the pool. The Deckhand Social takes no reservations and runs a waitlist instead, opening at eleven most days and ten at weekends for brunch, cooking Gulf Coast food with a Lowcountry accent. She-crab soup and gumbo over a cheese-grit base. Grouper nuggets, crab claws sauteed or fried, baked oysters done three-cheese or parmesan style. Then shrimp and grits, Florida creole grouper on gouda grits, blackened redfish with okra-tomato gravy, southern seared scallops, and porkchops with collards. The Beach Party platter feeds a whole crew.
