Two miles off I-75 in Punta Gorda, Deep Creek Golf Club is semi-private but open to the public on a daily fee, and Creekside Tavern is where the round ends. Breakfast runs early: two eggs with home fries, corned beef and meat-lover's breakfast bowls, breakfast flatbread, burritos, French toast, quiche, cinnamon rolls. Lunch shifts to kettle chips fried in house, boom boom shrimp, pretzel bites with cheese, breaded mushrooms, flatbread pizza. Sandwiches lean deli: meatball and provolone, liverwurst and onion, a chopped Italian hoagie, Reuben, Philly cheesesteak, smash burger, cod basket. Mark McCumber designed the 6,000-yard course.
