DEPUTAMALES – Restaurant

Jorge Klinar and Roxana Vera, from Ica in Peru, made tamales for a niece's birthday in September 2020 and turned the reaction into a business. The range grew fast: tamal criollo of Peruvian mote with chicken or pork, wrapped in banana leaf; tamalito verde built on fresh choclo; humitas both sweet and savoury; pan con chicharron, pan con asado, butifarra and salchicha huachana; empanadas, causa and pastel de acelga. Sweets by Roxy adds alfajores, chocolate turron and lucuma crocante. The operation runs as a Friday food truck, with weekend deliveries right across Florida and nationwide shipping on the larger orders.
