A West 49th Street pizzeria and Italian dining room in Hialeah that does the full red-sauce repertoire, not pizza alone. Pies come cheese, deluxe, white with ricotta and Romano, or gourmet bruschetta under fresh tomato, garlic, basil and olive oil. Behind them sit baked ziti, manicotti, stuffed shells, lasagna, asiago gnocchi in vodka sauce and a Carlo Ponte of tomato, peas, zucchini and eggplant. Chicken francaise and marsala, snapper francaise, shrimp scampi, and a seafood platter of half lobster with clams, calamari and mussels. Meatball, sausage and eggplant parmigiana subs at lunch, tiramisu or cheesecake after. Unfussy, generous Italian-American cooking.
