DIRTY LAUNDRY – Restaurant

A late-night bar on Central Avenue in St. Petersburg trading in Cuban warmth and low light, opening at five o'clock most evenings and running until three in the morning. Cocktails do the heavy lifting: Calor Caliente with cucumber-jalapeno tequila and habanero shrub, Santeria under a chili-infused Aperol foam, Santo finished with house-made guava caviar, and mojitos by glass or pitcher in strawberry-jalapeno, mango guava, passion fruit or coconut. The kitchen stays deliberately tight, turning out chili-lime yucca fries with chipotle aioli, beef or chicken empanadas, and jalapeno cheese rolls under hot honey. Coffee, food, beer. Saturdays start earlier, at noon.
