A downtown Ocala corner on South Broadway where nearly everything is made from scratch and the beef arrives from Fort McCoy, a Marion County farm whose pasture-raised cattle become the house brisket-and-beef blend. That blend builds the District Burger's smash patties, the Brick City patty melt on buttered rye, and a queso-loaded dip. Elsewhere: Philly cheesesteak egg rolls, hand-battered Wisconsin cheese curds, poke tuna nachos on gyoza chips, chorizo shrimp over cheesy grits, steak frites with maple-dijon brussels, and Detroit-style pizzas in blue-steel pans finished with brick cheese. Brunch, lunch, dinner, late night. Scratch cooking, generously portioned, and unpretentiously served.
