Dub N Grub trades in Afro-Floribbean street food built without meat or dairy, out of a compact Miami Gardens counter on NW 2nd Avenue. Crispy oyster mushrooms, fried in grape seed oil, stand in for protein, piled onto a vegan Philly sandwich, tossed through vegan Alfredo pasta, or stirred into a jerk teriyaki stir-fry. Sides run to sweet plantains, a vegan mac and cheese and Haitian macaroni, pulling together Caribbean and Southern threads on one plate. Diners who expect a vegan spot to skimp on flavor keep saying this one doesn't. It is a small operation with limited weekend hours.
