El Coliseo Restaurant, at 7317 SW 107th Avenue in Miami's Kendall area, serves classic Italian cooking despite its Spanish name, open Tuesday through Sunday and closed Mondays. The kitchen turns out Fra Diavolo shrimp linguini, veal Marsala with spaghetti carbonara, escargot alla Medici, chicken Parmigiana, calamari fritti, bruschetta, Caprese salad and baked lasagna. The dining room leans into candlelit, old-world Italian elegance, with a Roman Colosseum mural, tufted leather booths and an antique baby grand piano setting the scene for live music. Beyond dining, the restaurant hosts private events, rehearsal dinners and corporate gatherings, and offers catering, pickup and delivery.
