EL TACAZO – Restaurant

El Tacazo looks less like a restaurant than a house: a converted orange home on SW 124th Avenue in Homestead, marked by a giant palapa and a green awning over the door. Customers order at the counter inside and eat under the palapa or at picnic tables. The taco list runs deep, birria, al pastor, barbacoa, carnitas and lengua among them, and the kitchen backs them with asada fries, chilaquiles and a weekend menudo and pozole. Birria tacos anchor the specials board. It is casual and unpolished by design, the sort of place regulars treat as a default taco stop.
