Greek cooking on Biscayne Boulevard, where the pikilia lands first: tarama, melitzanosalata, tzatziki, hummus and spicy tyrokafteri with warm pita. Then pan fried saganaki with arugula and lemon, oven baked spanakopita, dolmades, paper thin Republic chips of crisp zucchini, grilled octopus with red onion and cherry tomatoes. Platters of chicken, beef or pork souvlaki and gyro arrive with pita, tzatziki, salad and rice or fresh cut fries. Larger plates run to moussaka, herb marinated lamb chops, whole grilled lavraki and shrimp over orzo. Horiatiki salad keeps the table lighter. The family runs catering and parties too. Generous, unfussy, unmistakably Greek.
