FIFTH AVENUE STREATERY – Restaurant
At the corner of 5th Avenue and Highland Street, Fifth Avenue Streatery has turned out scratch-made Southern fusion since 2019, patio seating open to the Mount Dora air. Burgers are the anchor, ground from never-frozen, grass-fed beef: the Mount Dora Burger piles on deep-fried goat cheese, bacon onion jam and pesto cream, while the Drunken Steer stacks shaved beef under house-made beer cheese. Tacos and rice bowls follow, and Sunday mornings bring shrimp toast and Fried Texas French Toast. Daily specials swing from fried chicken to blackened mahi and chicken pot pie. Regulars praise the range as much as food.
