Fox & Crown is a British pub and working brewery in Port St. Lucie, making beer on site and cooking the way a pub kitchen ought to. Fish and chips means eight and a half ounces of haddock in golden beer batter with thick chips; bangers land over skin-on mash under a pour of onion gravy. There is a pub burger, a Scotch pie with gravy, an Irish-style spice bag, chicken tenders, and, less expected, empanadas. It opens Wednesday through Sunday only, which keeps the room full when it does. Beer brewed here, food that earns it.
