French Press Coffee (Rt 9) – Restaurant

The southside original of The French Press Coffee Roasters, on River Avenue where Route 9 runs through Lakewood. Everything is roasted in house — single-origin, estate and fair-trade organic coffees — and pulled through whichever method suits: espresso, drip, cold brew, Japanese cold drip, French press, vacuum pot. Beans go out by the pound, cold brew by the bottle, and homemade pastries hold the counter. It keeps the community's clock, closing Saturday and reopening an hour after Shabbat ends. Serious coffee, roasted on the premises, no theatre required.
