Freund's – Restaurant
Three generations of the Freund family have sold certified-kosher fish in Borough Park for close to seventy years, with a market on 15th Avenue and an adjoining sushi and grill counter. The gefilte fish, the sauces and the seasonings are all made in house. The kitchen turns out made-to-order grilled fish, sushi, herring, dips, salads, sandwiches, wraps and platters, and you can pick your own cut of fish and pair it with any sauce they make. Freshness is the entire reputation and the family guards it. Seventy years on, the standard has not moved.
