GATORS BBQ – Restaurant
Oak-fired smokehouse barbecue on West Beaver Street, run in the southern tradition: beef takes eighteen hours over the logs, and turkey, ribs, chicken, sausage and pork all get their turn in the pit. Eight sauces are made in house, so nobody at the table has to agree. The sides pull their weight too, from rib mac and cheese to collard greens and fried okra, and the rib dinner is the order to beat. Customers drive in from the beaches, the north side and across the Georgia line. Smoke first, everything else second.
