GOLDEN RULE SEAFOOD – Restaurant

Part fish market, part open-air restaurant, Golden Rule has worked South Dixie Highway since 1943, when it opened as a general store; the dining room arrived in 2014 and the outdoor tables in 2017. Buy fillets at the counter or sit under the tiki hut for blackened grouper, mango mahi, Cajun shrimp and grits, or fried snapper with caramelized onions and tartar sauce on white toast. Live music runs Friday through Sunday. What brings people back is simple — fish that tastes landed that morning, in portions that make the price look modest.
