Part plant shop, part bar, entirely committed to both — a Riverside Avenue room where exotic houseplants line the shelves and the counter runs from espresso at eight in the morning to cocktails after dark. Coffee first: cold brew, brown sugar iced lattes, an old-fashioned latte, matcha. Food is deliberately small and good — grilled cheese with kimchi or with fig and brie, marinated olives, fresh pastries. Then craft beer, natural wine and champagne take over the evening. Buy a monstera on the way out. Few places pull off this many jobs at once.
