GRIDDLE – Restaurant
One of the oldest restaurants in Boca Raton, running since 1945, and still a breakfast-and-lunch house that shuts before dinner. Booths, vintage photographs of the city's first police and fire chiefs, rustic farm decor, and a room where most of the faces are repeat business. The menu is American diner played straight: silver dollar pancakes, the Griddle frittata, hot open-faced turkey, overstuffed corned beef on rye, deluxe burgers, banana splits. Regulars mention the grits, the quick friendly service, and an owner who stops by the table. Eighty years on, still the neighbourhood's morning room.
