Tucked just off South Dixie Highway in East Kendall, this small Mexican dining room has been run by owner Cesar Berrones for around two decades - long enough to be one of the area's quieter fixtures. The kitchen works right across the day, from breakfast through dinner: botanas to start, fiesta salads and caldos, a long run of platillos, and desserts made in house. The room is casual and intimate, the service multilingual and attentive, and there is parking of its own. Diners describe it as the sort of neighbourhood find you would rather keep to yourself.
