Halal Guys brought its rice-platter formula to South University Drive, and the routine is the one that built the brand in Manhattan: chargrilled chicken, beef gyro or falafel piled over yellow rice, or wrapped as a sandwich, then finished with the white sauce and a careful amount of the hot one. Sides run to hummus, baba ghanoush and fries, with baklava to close. Open daily from eleven until ten, counter service throughout. Diners keep coming back for the sheer size of the platters. Fast food with a cult attached.
