The walk-up window at Dixie and Forest Hill never closes. Three in the morning, three in the afternoon, there is a line for cafecito, guava pastelitos and a Cuban sandwich pressed to order — USA Today once named that sandwich among the country's ten best. Havana has held this corner since 1993, and inside the kitchen goes long: ropa vieja, vaca frita, croquetas, churrasco under chimichurri, camarones al ajillo, tres leches to finish.
