HIGH TIDES AT SNACK JACK – Restaurant

Perched on A1A with the Atlantic breaking just beyond the deck, High Tides at Snack Jack has been a Flagler Beach fixture since 1947 - surfboards and licence plates overhead, sand a few steps away. The kitchen keeps to wild-caught seafood and old-Florida fry baskets: coconut shrimp, spiced steamed shrimp by the half-pound, smoked fish dip, shrimp and fish tacos, blackened mahi sandwiches and clam chowder, with organic and gluten-free options threaded through. Diners return again and again for that coconut shrimp and for the ocean view at happy hour. Laid-back, salt-air, unhurried.
