Hogan's opened in Gainesville in 1983 on a simple promise: the biggest sandwiches and the coldest beer in town. Four decades on, the counter still builds deli sandwiches to order, stacked high and dressed however you ask, with salads for anyone showing restraint. The beer list runs deep enough to support a Tour the World challenge for drinkers working their way around the globe one bottle at a time. It is cash only — there's an ATM by the register.
