ICEBERG ROLLS – Restaurant

Rolled ice cream is a performance, and at Iceberg Rolls on West 16th Avenue you get the whole show: cream poured onto the cold plate, chopped through with fruit or cookie, scraped up into tight little scrolls and stood upright in a cup. The bases run from strawberry through Hialeah staples like guava and mamey; mix-ins take in banana, brownie, Oreo and Nutella, then a topping run of condensed milk, marshmallow, sprinkles and gummy bears. A small, clean room with seats inside and out, open late every night. Dessert as a spectator sport.
