IGUANA MIA – Restaurant
Iguana Mia has been doing Sonoran and regional Mexican in Southwest Florida since 1990, when the name and the story behind it were worked out on a cocktail napkin; the Fort Myers room on Cleveland Avenue followed in 1995. Chimichangas arrive as a twelve-inch flour tortilla stuffed with two cheeses and fried to gold. Burritos come steamed and topped with lettuce, tomato and grated cheese. Fajitas, tacos and enchiladas fill out the rest, and six house hot sauces hit every table with the chips. Independent, generous, and entirely unpretentious.
