By day it is Washburn Imports, a showroom of furniture from Asia and the Pacific Rim. Come evening the same room becomes the Imperial, and you drink sitting on the merchandise. There are dozens of craft beers on the list and a long run of wines by the glass, plus savoury bar bites, and the entrance is round the side on New Hampshire Street in Ivanhoe Village. Live music most weeks. What people say about it is consistent: loud enough to feel alive, quiet enough to actually talk, which is rarer than it should be. One of Orlando's odder good ideas.
