The Jamaican half brings oxtails, curry goat and jerk chicken with plantains alongside; the Southern half answers with turkey wings, fried fish, collard greens, yams and macaroni cheese. You build the plate from both sides, which is rather the point. A Black-owned neighbourhood room keeping daytime hours, six days a week, with a counter that knows most of the faces.
