On Cortez Boulevard in Brooksville, Keke's does the unglamorous work of a good breakfast house very well. Everything is made to order in a kitchen with no microwave in it, the coffee is ground in house, and the doors close at two-thirty. Stuffed French toast is the showpiece — apple cinnamon, banana caramel pecan, blueberry, raspberry or turtle — with Florida Pancakes, eggs benedict and a cheese steak omelet close behind. Lunch shifts to paninis, wraps and the signature bacon cheeseburger. Diners keep returning for portions that make lunch optional. Simple food, done properly, before mid-afternoon.
