KHAOSAN ROAD – Restaurant

Named for Bangkok's most famous street, Khaosan Road brings Thai street food to Giralda, the Coral Gables block closed to traffic so the tables can sit outside. Khao soi is the calling card — egg noodles in yellow curry and coconut milk with stewed chicken, finished with a crisp noodle nest and fried garlic — and the kitchen backs it with pad thai, chicken fried rice, kao mun kai and a spicy seafood fried rice. Chili fish and jumping shrimp cover the sharing plates. Regulars come back for curries that taste built rather than assembled. Street-stall in spirit, sit-down in execution.
