LA CAMARONERA – Restaurant
Since 1966 the Garcia brothers have run this stand-up counter and fish market on West Flagler, and the line still forms for one thing: the pan con minuta. Snapper, battered and fried with the tail left on, folded into a Cuban roll with onions and house sauce, lime and hot sauce set beside it. Fried shrimp, croquetas and whatever came off the boat fill out the rest. Cash only, no chairs, elbow room at best. The New York Times named it among the fifty best restaurants in the country in 2024 - Miami had known for decades.
