A small Salvadoran kitchen on South John Young Parkway, where the griddle starts early and the pupusas come off blistered, heavy and hot enough to burn a thumb. The menu is Central American rather than Mexican: pupusas first, then tamales, baleadas, yuca con chicharrón, soups and a full breakfast run. Portions land well ahead of the prices, and diners keep saying the food tastes cooked rather than assembled. Family-run, unglamorous, and busy for exactly that reason. Closed Tuesdays — worth checking the day before you drive.
