LA CROQUANTINE DE MATTHIEU – Restaurant
A French bakery-bistro in Doral, small and well-lit, where the pastry case does most of the talking. Almond croissants and ham bread come out of the oven through the morning; the savory side runs to a prosciutto sandwich, a salmon sandwich, onion soup and eggs rancheros, with pancakes for the brunch crowd at weekends. Coffee is Julius Meinl, pulled as café crème, cappuccino or mocha latte, and there are French wines by the glass for later in the day.
