Fritanga in the truest sense: a Miami counter cooking Nicaraguan food the way it is cooked at home, in quantity, with the grill going and the steam trays full. Gallo pinto, sweet plantains and squeaky fried cheese form the base; on top go carne asada de res, pollo asado, pork, nacatamal, enchiladas and salpicon. Portions are enormous and prices stay low, which is why the queue rarely thins. Central American home cooking, no ceremony attached.
