White tablecloths, a chef with thirty-five years behind him, and a dining room on US-41 a mile south of Wellen Park that has been doing this since 2007. La Rocca cooks classic Italian without irony: stuffed artichoke and baked clams to start, then Veal Marsala, Chicken Francese, linguine in fresh clam sauce, and the house Penne La Rocca. Seared ahi tuna covers the lighter appetite; the homemade tiramisu closes things out. Regulars talk about the warmth of the welcome as much as the plates, and the live guitar on the right night.
