LE GOUT DES CARAIBES – Restaurant
A Haitian kitchen on State Road 7 that opens at eight in the morning and keeps going until late, so breakfast, lunch and dinner all get their turn. The griot comes out tender under its crisp edges, the tassot is marinated hard before it hits the fryer, and the black rice is the dish people drive across Broward for. Portions are built for two even when you ordered for one, and the prices have not caught up with the cooking. Takeout, delivery, a few tables outside. Consistently, unfussily excellent.
