LITTLE HEN – Restaurant
Little Hen's Midtown Miami room takes the English tea-room idea and gives it a Miami volume knob: florals and mid-century colour, fine china, and plates built to be looked at before they are eaten. The Rose Petal Pancakes are the reason most people book, pink and powdered with rose-water syrup, but the bourbon-batter French toast, the carnitas breakfast tacos and the berry-topped chicken and waffles all hold their own. Afternoon tea comes with mini sandwiches; the Champagne Candy Cloud cocktail dissolves cotton candy at the table. Reservations are strongly advised. Brunch as theatre, and it delivers.
