Alexander Delgado of Gente de Zona opened Lo D'Alex on Calle Ocho in late 2024, and the place carries the energy you would expect. The kitchen is Cuban at heart with a fine-dining reach: crispy fried malanga, a deep ajiaco, lobster enchilado, picadillo, lechón asado and oxtail stew, closing on coconut flan or passion fruit cheesecake. Cocktails borrow their names from the duo's hits. Live music is part of the programme, not an afterthought. Little Havana, turned up.
