MALBEC GRILL – Restaurant

An Argentine grill on Highway 7 that opens at seven in the morning, which tells you it wants to be more than a steakhouse. The fire does the heavy lifting — a 30-ounce Angus skirt, ribeye, picaña, churrasco, filet mignon — and around it sit handmade empanadas, grilled octopus, beef ravioli and pan-seared salmon. Earlier in the day it is steak and eggs or French toast. Dulce de leche flan closes things out. The stated pitch is premium beef without premium-steakhouse arithmetic, and Parkland has taken them up on it.
