Italian gelato, made the long way and sold by the cone in Miami Beach. Mammamia works a wide bench of flavours, classic and inventive, with four that have picked up international Taste Awards - the amarena cherry ripple, apricot of Vesuvius, pistachio crunch and hazelnut. Beyond the tubs sit semifreddi in every format: cakes, mini glasses, sticks, tacos and little love cones. Cones, waffles, crepes and pancakes are griddled to order at the counter and handed over hot, and there is a proper coffee list behind it. Gelateria first, dessert bar second.
