MEXICO 1810 – Restaurant
A plain, warm taqueria off NW 36th Street that has been feeding this corner of Miami since 2014, family-run and unbothered about decor. Tacos are the draw — barbacoa with a cup of consomé, pollo, birria, and a tripe taco that comes out properly crisp — alongside tortas de milanesa, quesadillas, sopa de menudo and a molcajete de carnes for the table. From the seafood side: tostadas of fish and shrimp ceviche, and a cóctel de camarón worth the detour. Tuesdays bring a salsa bar and tacos priced like an afterthought. Regulars come for the staff as much as the food.
