MICKEY'S TIKI BAR SOUTH – Restaurant

Out at the 595 truckstop on Burris Road, this Davie bar-and-grill — now trading as 595 Tiki Bar and Grill — added an outdoor tiki deck and gave the whole place an overhaul. The kitchen is more serious than the setting suggests: steaks are cut in house, and the board runs ribeye, shrimp with rice, the Heavy Haul burger, a Philly cheesesteak, chicken quesadillas and wings. Pool tables are free. The crowd is half long-haul drivers, half locals who worked out the food is good. Loud, friendly, and open when you need it.
