MICOCOS CAFÉ – Restaurant
A thirty-seat Cuban café tucked into the Douglas Road side of 1 Alhambra Plaza, with a terrace for the people who want their coffee outdoors. It opens at seven and closes at four, which tells you the job: breakfast and lunch for the offices around it. The Western omelette is the order people repeat, alongside spinach and other fried empanadas — crisp outside, properly filled — quesadillas, fresh juices and baked goods. The café con leche is the real thing. Short menu, fair prices, staff who treat a first visit like a fifth.
