MILA MIAMI – Restaurant

A rooftop on Meridian Avenue where Miami Beach dresses for dinner. MILA calls its cooking MediterrAsian, and it means it: spicy tuna crispy rice, a dozen oysters with MILA mignonette, grilled Spanish octopus with romesco and kalamata tapenade, sweet-spicy soy-glazed salmon. Water features, fire performances and a Balearic soundtrack turn the later hours into something closer to nightlife, and there is a twelve-seat omakase room and a separate lounge alongside. Cocktails are taken as seriously as the food. Prices sit at the top of the market. An evening out, not a stop on the way to one.
