MIWI CUBAN & AMERICAN SANDWICH SHOP – Restaurant

A sandwich counter in The Hammocks that has been working the same idea since 1994: Latin fillings, Cuban bread, no ceremony. The cubano is built the classic way with ham, pork, cheese, pickle and mustard; the Miwi special adds bacon and salad to the same loaf. There are American sandwiches for the unadventurous, black bean and chicken soups, a tuna plate. Doors open at seven for the morning coffee trade. Long-time customers rate the colada as highly as the food, which in a Miami cafe is the real compliment. Cheap, quick, three decades deep.
