Miznon Rockefeller Center – Restaurant
Down at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, tucked among the concourse's food options, Miznon runs the same trick it has run since Tel Aviv in 2011: warm pita, aggressive vegetable cookery, no ceremony. The whole roasted baby cauliflower is the signature. Around it sit pitas of rotisserie chicken with za'atar and spicy green peppers, chicken livers roasted with scallions, candy steak built on overnight brisket, and eggs-no-steak for the vegetarians. Hummus and old-city mezze if you want a plate. Lunchtime queues move quickly. Better than a midtown lunch has any right to be.
