MOJITOS CUBAN CUISINE – Restaurant
The blue building on Calle Ocho out near the Westchester line has been pouring mojitos since 2001. The kitchen works the Cuban canon with confidence: ropa vieja with white rice and maduros, vaca frita, lechon asado, rabo encendido, malanga fritters, a ten-ounce churrasco. Live Cuban music and dancing take over several nights a week and the room gets loud in the best way. Regulars talk about the service as much as the food, attentive and unhurried in either language. Come for the mojito tradicional, stay because somebody started dancing.
