A Dominican kitchen with a patio on NW 17th Avenue, close enough to the ballpark that game nights fill the tables. The thing to order is the pica pollo - crisp, well seasoned fried chicken that regulars will argue is the best in the city - and the tres golpes for breakfast, with mangu, fried cheese and salami. Moro de guandules con patitas, tostones, platanos fritos and fresh-squeezed juices fill out the rest. Portions are large, prices are small, and the service gets consistent praise. Come for the chicken, stay for the rice pudding.
