Motek took its all-day Mediterranean format to 45 Miracle Mile, and the Gables suits it: sidewalk tables, pita baked to order, a dining room that fills for lunch and never quite empties. The cooking is Israeli with Moroccan, Lebanese and Yemeni accents and runs seed-oil-free throughout. Order the shakshuka, baked in its pan with challah for dipping, or the silky hummus, the crispy cauliflower, the schnitzel sandwich, the arayes packed with spiced beef. Brunch is served all day. Regulars talk most about the bread. Motek means sweetheart, and the name earns itself.
