OAXACA CLUB – Restaurant

Oaxacan cooking on First Avenue North, a block from the Jacksonville Beach sand, in a room that has clearly had a designer through it. The kitchen works traditional moles, quesillo and fresh herbs alongside grilled ribeye, short-rib birria and carne asada; from the water come pan-roasted snapper, grilled octopus and ceviches built on the day's catch. Behind the bar sit sixty-plus tequilas and a deep mezcal list, poured as flights or worked into cocktails. Brunch brings chilaquiles and huevos rancheros. Coastal Mexico, done with intent and without pretension.
